Testimonials

Tami Ritter shares my fiscally conservative values and is the only candidate with policy setting experience pertaining to issues of homelessness, behavioral health, and water protection.

She has my full support in this race.

 - Maureen Kirk, District 3 Supervisor

I am proud to endorse Tami Ritter for District 3 Supervisor because she leads with integrity and experience.  Tami Ritter has a deep understanding of the many issues facing our community.  As a Councilmember, Tami Ritter demonstrated informed and thoughtful deliberation, voting her conscience, and putting the people she represents first.

- Ann Schwab, Chico City Councilmember

I support Tami Ritter for Supervisor. She is a natural leader who leads by example. She works hard to achieve desired results and has a demonstrated ability to work with all members of our community. Tami's experience as an elected Chico City Council Member, as a Mediator, and as Executive Director of both the Torres Shelter and Habitat for Humanity, are just a few examples of her qualifications in action for the betterment of our community. It is her personal values though, her unwavering commitment to social justice, that distinguishes her most, and that is now more than ever needed on our Board of Supervisors.

 - Andy Holcombe, Former Mayor

I first met Tami during the 2012 Chico City Council Elections when we were both candidates.  I am a registered Republican but I always vote locally for the best person that will represent our community…liberal or conservative.  There are maybe a half dozen different forums that the candidates participate in and I was truly impressed by her passion and confidence regarding the issues facing Chico.  The people of Chico agreed with her vision and voted her into office.  She did not disappoint the voters and surprised many of her detractors.  This lady does not shy away from the hard decisions and meets them head on with an open mind and sympathetic heart.  Past Supervisor Maureen Kirk is not an easy act to follow and she set the bar high but Tami has the experience and dedication to push past that bar and make positive changes for our future.  I trust her and I give her my full support. Vote for Tami Ritter.

 - Dave Donnan

Tami Ritter will serve with the same integrity, fairness and persistance that Maureen Kirk has during her tenure as District 3 Supervisor. Tami has government experience as a Chico City Councilmember, she has expertise with water issues, and is the only Candidate with direct experience and understanding of affordable housing and of the issues surrounding homeslessness.

 - Karl Ory, City Councilmember, Former Mayor

As a friend for 18 years, I am pleased to endorse Tami's candidacy for County Supervisor, District 3. For all the years I've known her, she has focused her energy on making the community a better place for all its residents; as a City Council member; working toward resolution of the housing crisis; and her work in conflict resolution and mediation. Tami's integrity and dedication to the community make her a supremely qualified candidate for Supervisor

- Heather Schlaff

During the three years I worked with Tami in Glenn County as a Court Investigator, I found that she had an innate ability to work with challenging situations and people and to restore calm and communication with people who were often confrontational. During these interventions, she was successful in providing the parties with both long and short-term solutions that have benefited the parties, and more importantly, the children involved. Collaborating with Tami on these matters made my job much easier. As a retired Sheriff's Captain with over 30 years of service, and later a Court Investigator, I would not hesitate to vote for Tami if I lived in her community. This is based on my personal knowledge of her ability to solve problems, interact appropriately with co-workers and the public, and her strong desire to serve her community.

- Gary Buchholz

If you are one who can truly care for people other than yourself, one who’d help a neighbor in need, or join with others to cook a Safe Space meal for our homeless brothers and sisters on a cold winter night, and if you’d like a County Supervisor that feels toward others as you do, then support Tami Ritter for Butte County Supervisor, a candidate of strength and purpose whose entire public life demonstrates the force of a sympathetic heart. Tami will replace Maureen Kirk, another person of heart, who is resigning as supervisor and who endorses Tami as the one to take her place.

 - Lin Jensen

Preserving Butte County's farmland is important to our economy. Tami Ritter can be trusted to fight for our resources from being taken over and lost forever.
